Customer Review: Good Value
This is the first LCD tv I’ve ever bought, I’d been putting it off each year believing that they still had some way to go before being as good as the best CRTs (old Sony Triniton 100Hz tvs for example).

I have to say I was nicely surprised once I had set it up, as long as you’ve got a healthy reception the digital broadcast images are very good. I find the colours a bit intense on some channels, though I suspect this is due to the broadcast signal rather than the TV.

Plenty of inputs though for connecting a PC you are limited to analogue VGA, that said with a good graphics card the picture is still very good (way better than what’d you’d get on a CRT tv and more than adequate for web browsing, watching movies etc).

Sound is also better than expected, the audio line out is brilliant for connecting to a hifi-amp, though is fixed in level so you’ll need a hifi remote to adjust the volume from the sofa.

The rec-timer funtion is one of my fav features, it can be programmed to send any digital broadcast down the smartlink Scart port to your older VCR/DVD recorder while the TV is off (effectively giving you a Sky+ style recorder). Of course you still have to set the timer on your video :-) This also removes the need to pass the broadcast signal through the VCR before connecting to the TV which can often cause interference.

All in all, good value, perhaps not quite as good as the best CRTs but for ?425 you really can’t complain.

Customer Review: You get what you pay for
I needed a TV for my daughters bedroom makeover. I very nearly bought a cheaper 32″, strange make, with fair reviews from Ebuyer.

But I didn’t.

I virtually always go for a premium brand, and am a great believer in the phrase Price is forgotten long after quality is remembered.

In the end I found this ?100 off, and I was able to use my company discount. Bottom line I Paid ?380. So a good price.

I was not expecting the digital free view, so we were delighted to get this as a bonus. Loads of extra channels, and some really good ones, Film4/ Sky news/ music channels plus a raft of others.

Picture quality - from my aerial was crystal clear, its HD ready, but I haven’t used this mode yet.

Wall mounting - easy to do. It didn’t come with a kit, I bought one online from www.av4home.co.uk (?33 including next day delivery).

I had to cut off the moulded plug, and replace with another one, so I could hide the wires away. It comes with a lead, which you cannot detach from the TV, and it is about 1.5m long.

Looks great on the wall, and picture quality is fabulous.

Nice one.

Adam

Customer Review: Work now, but wait, oh yes, there is the Static!!
I’m listening to these now, they SOUND AWESOME! But, give them 10-15 mins and they will be emiiting the loudest static that will drive you statically-insane! I’m trying to track down the source of the static, seems moving them away from anything electronic helps! ;) Oh well, I enjoy them while they work.. but I fear next time the power goes off, that’s when the static seems to come back, and come back it does with vengeance! UPDATE: THESE ARE IN A DUMP SOMEWHERE.
Customer Review: Just some SPEAKERS 101
Ok, as you all know years ago they used to have those desktop satillite speakers for computers that you just plugged into the computer and they didnt need a wall outlet for power.. much like headphones.. They still have those now. And to help accomodate this, sound cards in computers pump out a very small amount of voltage to basically give power to those speakers or else they will have the power of 2$ headphones… I know why your speakers, especially the subwoofer, have been giving problems… The subwoofer uses copper coil wrapped around a small cone in the bottom of the speaker and changing in Electromagnetic waves cause it to react with the built in Natural magnet causing the speaker face to Move… THats just fine if you had wattage only. But with the voltage from the sound card.. The copper wire, not built to hold much voltage at all, will over time deteriorate much like iron will rust causing shortages in the wire or even hissing crackling sounds because of the damaged magnetic fields… TO prevent this problem only turn your MASTER VOLUME in volume control up halfway or very close to halfway whether over or under. This will allow for a sufficient amount of wattage from the sound card to reach the amplifier in the subwoofer to give yu great sound. Ive had my own RCA PROFESSIONAL SERIES audio video receiver for about 6 years now and i researched sound cards because my sound card being plugged directly into the amplifier i always got an *Overload* safety shut down… meaning there was too much wattage going in or out of the receiver.. i found out about the computer wattage thing and the middle master volume tip has worked Tons… If you dont believe me about the computer putting out voltage to power its parts… what do you think powers the LED lights on your keyboard or the LASER on your optical mouse, what about the power to your webcam. I hope ive been helpful to future buyers of subwoofing products… this also works for desktop speakers
