Customer Review: Great Little Machine
i bought this machine in spite of the bad review it gor from what hifi, although in fairness i do appreciate the cooments they made about the overall sound from the ipod, it was good but not brilliant, the DAB on the other hand was great it even worked at my mates house where i could not get a good reception even woth the white airiel that is normally supplied. with the metal antenna up full i was able to get a really good selection of stations that sounded rich and warm.

at the end of the day i feel that ?130.00 for this machine was about right , it looks very stylish, is solidly made and overall sound and volume is impressive.

I was amazed at the number and variety of docking stations with speakers and I did my homework and I hept going back to this one . The quality met my expectations and it was easy to set up . No buzz on DAB and excellent pkay of my ipod. As ever Amazon were excellent and I can only thank other rviews that got me to this choice. If you want BOSE quality sound and a radio this is the choice.

This is a very nice and easy to use MP3 player, however what is not clear from the manufacturers image or their web site is that it doesn’t come with a built in FM radio. The image it shows an icon for a radio but the player doesn’t have it and it’s not clear how you get the FM radio on the player.

Customer Review: Good little device, but strong competition
I bought this through Amazon at much less than it’s current (9 Oct 2007) ?121 price, at which there is plenty competition. I have found it excellent - very easy to set up and configure. I had one initial problem - my backup software (the excellent SmartSync Pro) could not reliably manipulate file attributes, which it uses to keep track of which files have changed since the last backup. I found that this product is sold under Argosy and Tritton brands, as well as ATMT, and found more recent firmware (version 7.102) on the Tritton web site. After updating the firmware, the attribute problem disappeared. I have given 4 stars for the end result. The only thing which I would have liked to make it 5 stars is a switch on the front rather than the back. The device uses a standard PATA disk, and seems to use the FAT32 format. All the firmware seems to be in flash memory, so the whole disk is available for data. Thus there is no obvious reason why a larger disk could not be fitted if necessary, nor why the disk could not be removed and put into a USB enclosure, or a PC. There is no option to partition the disk, or to set user quotas, thus in theory a rogue user could grab all the space if, as in my application, personal user folders are allocated to several people.
