Customer Review: NTSC Compatible?
I just bought this and it seems pretty good, but although I followed the multiregion instructions helpfully provided here by M Crouch, it still doesn’t seem to be fully NTSC-compatible - so it does play region 1 DVDs, but with flickering lines across the image. Is there another code that can deal with this? I’d be grateful for advice if anyone can help!

I had an initial problem trying to make it region free but once I had sorted that out I was off! It records really easily, converts hard disc recordings to disc at the press of a button & allowed me to convert all my videos to DVD with ease. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This turntable is excellent for the price. I choose the automatic model versus the manual for the additional $30.00. The automatic features came in handy when I spent over 26 hours in recording over 19 hours of music from my LP collection. Did not have any problems with the software and found it to be easy to work with and powerful in burning CD’s and setting up MP3 files. Would recommend spending the additional cost of purchasing this turntable with the automatic features.

Received this for Christmas 2007 from wife - with help from me of course. Past reviews mixed, so I was hesitant. But, after using it, the previous bad reviews were way off. First, the product was shipped on time, well packaged, no damage. Second, the phonograph. It looks good, sounds good and works perfectly. Clear controls, dust cover, vibration resistant, this thing is better than my $200.00 phonograph from the 80’s. (Todays price probably well over $500.00) Plug in for headphones, USB port, prewired for stereo system connection, it has it all. As for the sound, you can’t improve the sound of the vinyl; bad record, bad recording. You can clean it up a bit, but if you have deep gouges in your record there is no hope for making it sound like a digital recording. I’m trying to preserve my collection, not cut new digital recordings for sale. Last, the software. Everybody has their favorites, so this package comes with two separate recording programs. If you don’t like one, use the other. I see other reviews whining about how hard one or the other is to use. Neither is difficult. They work like 75% of the software you buy off the shelf at the computer store. Oh wait, they are the software you buy off the shelf, Included ! In the package ! No waiting ! Overall, this would be a great deal even if the price was higher. Recommended for preserving those old memories.
