Not bad, but definitely not great. Like others, we’ve struggled to get even toasting and the toasting increments don’t seem to work very well. If you slice your own bread too (or use breadmaker bread) then you’ll struggle to get 2 slices in. As if all this isn’t bad enough, ours just popped (literally - quite a loud bang) after 10 months service. Lucky to get 2 stars TBH - close to a single but the good looks and useful timing indicator just drag it back up. UPDATED: Our replacement failed after 2 months! Amazon aren’t bothering to send a replacement either “..problem is more widespread than we originally thought…”. My advice is DON’T TOUCH THIS ITEM If I could, I’d reduce to zero stars now…

My seven year old dishwasher works great, except for the little vinyl spikes that hold the dishes upright. Many of them had worn away and were busy scratching my dishes with their exposed, rusty ends. Fifteen minute project later and I had covered the bad ones with these caps, and it looks better than ever. If there’s any negative at all, it’s that the new caps are slightly rubbery and when the dishes slide into the rack they tend to grab at the rubber cap a little. Not a lot, but it’s a different feel than it used to be. Highly recommended over the cost of a new dishwasher!

This stuff works great but make sure you count how many pins you’re going to need. I under-estimated and had to place another order which arrived promptly. This stuff works much better than I expected and it’s very easy to apply. A little advice though….after you’ve done a few pins or touch-ups, wipe off the brush stem with a Kleenex or something to keep it from getting gunked up. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: Good Family Snapper
We bought this camera whilst on holiday to replace an elderly 2.1mp coolpix 775. To be honest, the choice in the shop was rubbish, and we bought the camera because it was the only high mp camera at a price we could afford.

To get the negative points over, my gripes are… LCD screen only means that battery life is not as good as the old one - I used to use the viewfinder for taking photos and the screen for reviewing them at the end of the day. I also agree with other reviewers that the screen is not easy to see in bright sunlight. The shutter lag infuriates my wife - she is frequently moaning that the camera doesn’t take the photo as she presses the button, but momentarily after - for some reason thet’s all my fault. in low light, the pictures are very grainy [high iso setting?] or you get camera shake - that though is a problem with inexperience rather than a bad camera - I have made no attempt to learn how to use manual to it’s full effect.

positively - the quality of the shots is excellent, and on fully auto, all the family can use the camera and take excellent photographs. The build quality is good - the camera has a metal body and feels solid and well constructed. It’s size means it can easily be carried without being cumbersome.

This is an ideal low cost camera if you are looking to take “snaps”, but not for more serious photography - though I guess you you’ll be looking at a DSLR for that!

My husband bought this camera for a present in August, off Amazon, We were going on a cruise up to the North Cape. I am so pleased with this camera, my first digital camera, I took over 600 photos on holiday of Norway and I think the quality is excellent, colour, crispness of images. All my photos came out well. I am over the moon with this camera, my husband also thought it was great. He has a Canon EOS 350D. The macro lens is excellent as well. My only gripe is you can’t see the screen very well in bright sun light. Otherwise this camera is a very good buy in my opinion.

Customer Review: Awesome value for money
Bought this to replace my solid steel ixus v3 which is 5yrs old. Indestructible but the age shows in the image detail.

The fuji is a giveaway at this price, it has by far the largest sensor of any similar (and much larger compacts) which means low noise, good low light performance vivid detail and colour. It also has a fujichrome mode that simulate the old premium fuji 35mm film and give great colour and contrast. The screen is the same size and resolution as my nikon d40 dSLR and has a stunningly high refresh rate with good brightness.

I am certain the people on the internet moaning about the noise and poor image quality are using the rubbish auto modes that crank the up the ISO to silly levels. At 400 the fuji will blow away any compacts from other makes. Stick to the semi-manual mode and set your own ISO and the results are fantastic from such a small camera.

You get real-time shutter speed and aperture info on the display but stupidly you cannot set them manually - this feature would make the camera outstanding. The menu system is also a bit naff compared to canon and nikon and no histogram either.

White balance options are much better than average too with x3 fluorescent settings. Haven’t tried the face-detection but surely the photographer is capable of that?

Build quality very decent and also has built in IR communication for wireless image transfer if your laptop has it. Takes SD cards so don’t have to buy overpriced and inconvenient XD. mini USB socket is non-standard which is slightly annoying but obviously cable is included and SD card slots are everywhere these days. Batt charger is nice and compact.

I would not be disappointed had I spent twice the money on this, go and get one now before they sell out.

Customer Review: Great bit of Kit! Fantastic Value!
I must admit I was nervous at first about buying this product because of such mixed reviews! But people have posted quite comprehensive instructions to combat difficulties they’ve experienced. So make sure you use Windows Media Player, mp3 files, and change your usb setting to msc, and you should have no problem getting set up! As for the acessories that come with it. I think the headphones are fine, however I’ve taken another reviewer’s advice and bought Creative’s noise isolation in-ear phones (EP-360) which will be better for going to the gym or out running. The mp3 player cost me ?12, and for an extra ?4 bought the m200 silicone case, as the case provided is poor. The arm strap works fine, great for sport. The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars is the instructions disc does not tell you about having to use Windows Media Player, and changing the usb settings, otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars as it’s a quality bit of kit. If you want a different shaped player then spend another ?28!!!!

At first I thought this was brilliant - I’ve never had an mp3 before and found it easy to instal music and set up my favourites list. Went to use it next day at the gym and the on/off switch broke when I tried to turn it on, rendering it useless. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a dud, but I won’t be buying another of these.

For the money you pay for this phone, it represents excellent value for money, and is an ideal entry level market phone, or one you need as a spare. It is full of features which include an alarm which announces the time when it goes off, a very good loud speaker mode, and all the benefits you would come to expect from a Nokia brand.

I recently got one of these for my partner, and was so impressed I have now placed an order for one for my Mother, and as a second phone for me. Its definitely worth buying, the phone is very sleek, and fits snugly into most pockets, and is very light. It has superb standby time. The one we brought still has 2 bars left and it’s been on standby for 15 days. Well worth the 18 odd pounds 5 star phone.

Customer Review: Impressive for a portable LCD TV
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought one of these for my wife as a present, especially as I’d never heard of the manufacturer before, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Because I’m so close to our local transmitter I’m within the “shadow” area and have to use a good rooftop aerial, none of my prior TV’s have obtained a decent picture from either an inbuilt aerial, or even one of the custom wall-mounted types connected through a booster, so I wasn’t at all surprised to find I needed to connect this to the external aerial as well. For that reason I can’t make a fair comment about the inbuilt aerial. No doubt I’ll find out how good that is when I next go camping, but if we can’t get a signal it’s easy enough to take a few films along with us instead !

That aside, picture quality is very good, whether for analogue TV, freeview, DVD, or plugged into the Sky box. DVD in particular was much better than I was expecting for such a compact unit.

Sound is fairly decent too, obviously it’s nowhere near as good as a hi-fi when it comes to audio cd’s, but good enough to play music on in the kitchen, bathroom or a tent if you just want something playing in the background while you get on with other things.

The flexibility of the unit is what impressed me the most, it’ll handle just about anything you can throw at it. The only thing it doesn’t have is an HDMI input for my HDV camcorder, but then it’s not a High Definition TV so I knew that wouldn’t be an option….

I’d definitely recommend it as a kitchen or bathroom TV that will also double up as a personal DVD player to keep the kids occupied in the car on a long journey, or a wet evening at the campsite.

My only complaint is that the controls can seem somewhat sluggish in responding, I’m not always sure if it’s registered the button presses or not.

Customer Review: more than I bargained for
Like the previous reviewer, I bought this primarily for the rice cooker. For cooking rice it’s amazing. wash the rice add the water, press the button and forget about it. Perfect rice, even if you leave it there and forget about it. I also use mine for steaming veg most nights now. Hardly ever use the hob, which cuts down on hob cleaning. The rice cooker is so much easier to clean. I haven’t yet used the porrige maker, or slow cooker. I already have a slow cooker, which I also think is fantastic. So if your thinking of buying this one and don’t have a veg steamer and a slow cooker, this is an excellent buy!
Customer Review: A little expensive - but excellent for all purposes…….
It was for cooking rice that I primarily chose this. It hasn’t let me down (so far) but most importantly, providing you use a rice cooker as they are supposed to, it certainly never sticks with this one. Interestingly, the porridge comes out delicious - but somehow, I do miss using the traditional saucepan!! Rice pudding the same - really tasty and easily made ’stodgy’ or ‘runny’, but - yes I do miss the traditional way!! But as you can see I’ve given it 5 stars because that’s is truly what it deserves. Trust me, or make your own mind up - but I have no problems in recommending this product. It really is excellent - even if a it’s maybe little expensive. In the end though, I think quality and reliablity counts for more…..
