MPman - 3″ Pocket Digital Freeview TV - With Remote Control
Customer Review: great picture if you can find it
at one hundred pound i thought i was buying a quality piece of kit how wrong i was yes its true the picture quality is top notch unfortunally most of the time you dont have a picture just a message saying no signal even if you stick the aerial outside the window it still has trouble finding the signal bottom line dont buy this unless you have more money then sense total rubbish
Customer Review: tiny TV perfection…
I do find it strange that I can be within a mile of Gatwick Airport (fairly built up area) and only get a 2% signal (which is still enough for a perfect picture anyway on this device), then head off to the New Forest and get a 40% signal when I’m apparently in the middle of nowhere! My experience with portable digital TV is you either get a perfect picture or no picture at all. Not sure that this particular brand is specific to signal problems of that nature though, mine has been perfect so far, as have some friends who also own one.
Either way, this little TV has fared extremely well for me and not having had problems with lack of signal, can’t knock any stars off a perfect score. The picture is pretty much perfect (even easily watchable outside during sunny days), news tickers can also be read clearly and believe it or not, you can see the ball when watching golf! (Not a golf fan btw, just pointing out the quality. A final worthwhile example is the kids have been able to watch CITV/Cbeebies etc in the car on the way back from school with no loss of picture at all! (A trip of about 8 miles). The sound is loud enough despite the tiny built in speaker, it fits in my shirt pocket and weighs about the same as my mobile phone. Battery at full volume lasts me about 3 hours, charges in less than 1 hour. 40+ TV channels and digital radio in a unit slightly larger than a pack of cards: I for one am impressed. Just as importantly, my mates are too:-) I can’t knock its performance in and around Surrey and Hampshire though I’d assume there are places it won’t work, (just as with handheld analogue TV) I just haven’t found any yet. A worthy 5 stars.

Customer Review: Does what it says and easy to use
I wanted to record a radio show that I really liked and had heard by accident. Luckily the show was available on the web for 7 days; all I needed was something to let me record it and replay it in a common format, e.g. MP3. I bought this software and its great. I have just finished recording the hour long show in MP3, having gor delivery today. The software is installed easily in about 1 minute. The User manual looks comprehensive, simple and to the point; the first chapter I read was recording previous shows from a radio website - ideal, simple clear, took 10 seconds to read. Was very easy to perform. There are a lot more options in the manual that I havent used yet. But this software is intuitive to use. There is a feature to set the software to record a particular radio programme at some time in the future (as long as your PC is on and connected to the internet; this is a really handy function. I have listened to my show it sounds good enough to me (using my laptop speakers) so Ive no doubt the quality is at least adequate for all but the purest sound buffs. It also allows you to burn the recorded file to CD so you can play it anywhere, although you have it in MP3 format anyway. A small, easy to install, easy to use, nice user interface, flexible and cheap software that does exactly what it says on the cover. Recording radio is so handy its essential, at least as much as having a TV recorder. Want to record that special symphony? Pop concert? The Archers? Interview? Drama? Need a timer for setting recordings? Radio has such variety and quality it is far superior to TV. Get some radio recording software and you wont look back. I recommend this, it works great and a cheap price.
Customer Review: Does what is says +
Originally brought this software from a large PC retailer, note its two pounds cheaper on Amazon! As others have written, I wanted to record shows easily for my own use both on CD & on my ipod. The version I got was 5.3 & i was suprised to visit the Replay radio site & find the current version was V 7.0…… Now the good bit, an email to the Replay radio support staff was very quickly responded to, they advised emailing the re-seller for a new licence number which would be provided free. I then needed to download the latest version from Replay Radios own website & paste in the new licence key. This done I had a bang up to date version which works superbly & transfers files seamlessly to my Ipod via the itunes software. Good product, excellent support fom the staff at Replay Radio & their reseller… by the way I’m still waiting for a satisfactory reply from the “large PC retailer” on my original query about the product….moral .. get it cheaper at Amazon & if you have a problem, the Replay Radio website support is top class.

Customer Review: So Much Promise
Firstly, It does do what it says, it records on hard disk and DVD, and it does so competently. It has little irritants like naming of titles is only in upper case, no QWERTY keyboard layout. The pause live TV only lasts an hour, which I know a year ago was cutting edge practically, but still! It tries to be slick, and flash but it realy isn’t. I do like the editing functionality but the menus are clumsy. Who did they test it on?The user manual says you can record on DVD-R but somehow it won’t let you. +RW is fine though. the picture quality is good on SLP so use that and save space. You can get a lot on 160GB at that rate. Good for recording your old VHS onto HDD, & editing it (in a basic fashion) before dubbing to DVD. You can’t watch one channel whilst recording another! It’ll be obsolete before long too long as it’s analogue. Shame really, good idea that wasn’t taken far enough. Add twin tuning freeview and better navigation / editing tools… now that would be the thing.
