The N95 8gb doesn’t include a memory slot but the regular N95 does - the biggest memory card I’ve seen compatible with this phone is 8gb. I’m worried though, in a year or so there could be a 100gb memory card available and I don’t want to be stuck with a phone that can’t have extra memory added. So, 8gb is the maximum on the N95 8gb and (as far as I know) for the regular N95 the biggest memory card available is 8gb (an extra $100 or so from a third party).

Customer Review: Returned it - Touchpad didn’t work properly
Well, I probably would have liked this laptop but the Synaptics touchpad didn’t work properly. I couldn’t turn off tapping or configure it. I installed several new drivers, reviewed user messages on the HP forum, called tech support and ended up returning it and getting a refund. I’m going to buy a Toshiba Tecra instead. Also, the HP support message board on their web site is absolutely awful. I’ve never seen such a poor message board (down a lot, posted messages disappear, search is awful) and lack of vendor participation to help solve problems.

I received this laptop as a christmas present from my family. (needless to say i was ecstatic). Being a gamer i was a little bummed that it was a vista operating system. I thought it would be a good idea just to load an old XP prof. cd on it… BAD IDEA! Microsoft and HP created a laptop that doesn’t support XP very well. It took us a few days to search down drivers that would work (and by work i mean… barely function at times.) Anyway so after a few days of frustratingly fighting with the wireless card, reinstalling various sound drivers, and all around annoyance with HP and Microsoft i caved and called for a vista recovery disk ($28 buck with “next day” shipping…)After a trying experience with an outsourced call center where my CSRep. had me repeat everything i said 5 times… i now expect the cd(s) to arrive in 4 days… I’m disappointed about with the OS, but other then that I’m very pleased with all the features on this laptop. If you don’t mind Vista I’d probably recommend this notebook to you. (seriously don’t try to downgrade to xp with this machine. You’ll only get your heart broken)

I just bought this and it seems pretty good, but although I followed the multiregion instructions helpfully provided here by M Crouch, it still doesn’t seem to be fully NTSC-compatible - so it does play region 1 DVDs, but with flickering lines across the image. Is there another code that can deal with this? I’d be grateful for advice if anyone can help!

I had an initial problem trying to make it region free but once I had sorted that out I was off! It records really easily, converts hard disc recordings to disc at the press of a button & allowed me to convert all my videos to DVD with ease. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This turntable is excellent for the price. I choose the automatic model versus the manual for the additional $30.00. The automatic features came in handy when I spent over 26 hours in recording over 19 hours of music from my LP collection. Would recommend spending the additional cost of purchasing this turntable with the automatic features.

Received this for Christmas 2007 from wife - with help from me of course. Past reviews mixed, so I was hesitant. But, after using it, the previous bad reviews were way off. First, the product was shipped on time, well packaged, no damage. Second, the phonograph. It looks good, sounds good and works perfectly. Clear controls, dust cover, vibration resistant, this thing is better than my $200.00 phonograph from the 80’s. (Todays price probably well over $500.00) Plug in for headphones, USB port, prewired for stereo system connection, it has it all. As for the sound, you can’t improve the sound of the vinyl; bad record, bad recording. You can clean it up a bit, but if you have deep gouges in your record there is no hope for making it sound like a digital recording. I’m trying to preserve my collection, not cut new digital recordings for sale. Last, the software. Everybody has their favorites, so this package comes with two separate recording programs. If you don’t like one, use the other. I see other reviews whining about how hard one or the other is to use. Neither is difficult. They work like 75% of the software you buy off the shelf at the computer store. Oh wait, they are the software you buy off the shelf, Included ! In the package ! No waiting ! Overall, this would be a great deal even if the price was higher. Recommended for preserving those old memories.

My son was pleased w/the product until he inserted the batteries. The door wouldn’t close properly. After several family members tried to close the door on the batteries, it was locked in place. It would be so much nicer if the battery door would close easily.

Well I have spent the past 2 months going through all the different sat navs and asking as many people as I could which they would recommend and everyone I spoke to said a Tom Tom. I wanted a small and cheap system that also worked in Europe ready for our summer holidays. Admittedly I’ve only had it a week and have never had one before and so far I have been really pleased with it. It was easy to set up and install on the computer, it hasn’t yet fallen off the windscreen bracket which other people have complained about and it really does recalculate your route very quickly if you make a wrong turn - very useful with two small children who can be quite distracting. I bought the case too which I have to say is rather pricey for something smaller than a make up bag but it does seem to protect it well. All in all I like it but I am hoping nothing goes wrong as all the other reviews for TomTom say how awful the customer service it which did put me off a bit.

I purchased version 3 of the TOM TOM ONE with the intention of buying the external receiver for traffic announcements. TOM TOM’s customer service centre in Amsterdam told me not to buy the old aerial as it would only break down and they have a waiting list of customers to whom the new version of the aerial will be sent first, after which they will make it availalbe to customers like me who have bought a product expecting it to work from the outset. The customer ’service’ people cannot tell me when between now and never this aerial will be available in the UK. So, if you want traffic announcements then do not buy this version. The product has been rushed to the market and is not fit for purpose.

Customer Review: Tricky set up but OK now
This was supplied through Amazon by Commerce Computers Ltd. I paid ?89 plus ?6.54 for delivery which took 4 days. I’m using the Buffalo to back-up data on my HP laptop which is linked to a home wireless network and then via a PC firewall and router to an external corporate network. After several hours of trying to get the Buffalo to talk properly to the laptop, I admitted defeat and sought help from the corporate techie guys. After about 20 minutes both devices were talking to each other and since then all has been well - except when I want to print something from the laptop via the wireless connection, I have to disconnect the Buffalo. In summary; a robust piece of kit that is doing its job quietly in the background but which may need some expertise to set it up on an existing network.

Got this product as we have virgin cable and wanted something that could record onto a hard disc, which pretty much rules out everything with a built in freeview tuner. Had the product set up in minutes, plug in the scart from the digi box and the other to the TV and thats it! The recording buffer which automatically records whatever you’re watching is fantastic. Watched a DVD and found that the hard disc had recorded what was on the digi box which was great. Easy to rewind and pause live TV. Fully recommended. Would get 5 stars if I could work out how to set the default channel to the decoder scart! Fantastic.

Have just bought and sadly returned this item today. The built in tuner is analogue only, meaning that it’s not really suitable for me - it needs a separate Freeview box to be able to record channels others than BBC1 - Five. No Electronic Programme Guide means that if you’re after something that can be used like Sky+ with the added benefit of a DVD recorder, you’ve bought the wrong thing!

Customer Review: After cleaning, paring, and loading updates, it works great.
Well, I agree with all the previous reviews except the poorly built comments. I am very impressed with the hardware, except the tolerances of the battery compartment. It does rattle, and I wouldn’t travel with it as it is. I put a couple pieces of tape on the case under the battery, and voila, no rattle. With all the excrutiating design that Sony puts into these things, it does mystify me why this was overlooked. The case is solid otherwise, built of magnesium. The processor, memory, wireless adapter, and hard drive is a great value for the money. The 4800 rpm HDD is a bit slow, but once powered up works fine. On the other hand, the T7250 processor and 2 Gb of memory standard is a good value. I actually bought a FZ220E for $999, but found the FZ240E at Circuit City for only $50 more. The 2.0 Ghz processor makes a big difference, not to mention the extra 50 Gb of storage. Everything else is the same. I agree with all the extraneous trial software. I spent about an hour uninstalling it. Well worth the time, but I agree with other reviewers that it shouldn’t be there, or should be on a trial CD. Once I removed the trial software, Office 2007, and Norton 360, it started working well. I use Mcafee for virus software, as I have found the Norton software takes a lot of space and slows everything down. I have adapted to Vista from XP, and it has its short comings as well as some good things. But this isn’t a Sony issue. I must say, the Wireless setup was one of the easiest I have been through. And the FZ series comes with a streaming media server, DLNA certified. For those of you what want to stream to your TV or stereo, this is a big plus. Not many other laptops in the price range do this. Overall, I finally have it working well, and I am satisfied from a price and think it is a good value.
